“ We hadn't been here since before the pandemic. We prefer getting here right when they open on a weekend at 11:30am. We were a party of 7, so we made a reservation ahead of time. We were seated right away, despite our entire party not being present. The most notable change since before the pandemic is how you order. Each table now is given a QR code and one person can order via their phone for the whole table. Within minutes of pressing "enter" on my phone, the dishes started coming! The only dish that wasn't hot was the shrimp with the eggplant. Everything tasted just how we remembered it. We love the sticky rice, the steamed roast pork buns, the baked roast pork buns, and the vegetable pan fried noodles (not pictured). The only dishes that didn't come out quickly were the pork shumai & the seafood shumai. However, once we told a worker, it was immediately rectified. We left there absolutely stuffed!! ”

“ Aberdeen is our go-to place for our big family Chinese celebrations, including Chinese New Years. It's the best chinese restaurant in the area, which the widest array of options. We have members of the group that can't eat spicy food, so Aberdeen is the only place we can go to (that I know of). O'Mandarin and Fantasy Cuisine are other favorites, but they don't have any or limited non-spicy dishes. I've seen other negative comments. We're of Chinese descent and have come here multiple times with up to 3 families, multi-generational from boomers to millennials, and everyone enjoyed the food. You can have a nice big group here and reservations make it easy. We've had about 10 people. We also had a work anniversary dinner here for 10-12, which was wonderful (the place was chosen by a Taiwanese foodie). Service is good. Decor is a little old, but it's pleasant enough. Aberdeen is different from many of those noisy, busy restaurants, including buffets and AYCE's. I love that this place is nice and quiet, so people can relax, talk and have conversations. Note, these are not light meals! Our favorites are Peking pork chops, sesame chicken, noodles with mushrooms, pan fried beef chow mein , Peking duck, shrimp with mayonnaise, any vegetable, and lobster. The kung pow tofu was surprisingly delicious with small pieces of crisp tofu, soft in the middle. We ordered this dish for the vegan in our family. We haven't had dim-sum for a while, but we've heard from others that it's good and fresh. You can drive into NYC or Flushing, pay the tolls and deal with the traffic, but if you want good chinese food with a nice, quiet, pleasant ambiance, this is the place. The location is also central for those from Rockland, CT, Westchester. Yes, it's a little more expensive, but it's worth it. ”

“ I had such a lovely lunch her with my colleagues. The food was deliciousand I would definitely go back. We ordered a couple of different things, we ordered the pork soup dumplings, chive dumplings, shrimp dumplings and the black bean steak. Everything was flavorful and fresh. The service was good, attentive and the flow of food was great. The dishes came as we ordered them and the decor inside reminded me of an old school restaurant. This is a great place for lunch and dinner with a colleague definitely work place appropriate. ”

“ Came here for brunch with my family. The food was decent for outside of flushing or Chinatown. Each of the dim sum dishes came out piping hot and fresh. The ribs dish was okay not too thrilled about but the rice noodles were good and so were the hard gow, chives dumpling, sticky rice, chicken feet, soy sauce noodles, etc. Service was okay and ambiance was similar to other Chinese restaurants but not as noisy as other dim sum places. ”

“ The Basics: Aberdeen is a Chinese food restaurant which services dim sum in the White Plains area. It is located off of the lobby of a Residence Inn hotel. I have always enjoyed the dim sum at Aberdeen, and have experienced no wait times and great service during my visits. Things I like: All of the dim sum I have tried at Aberdeen has tasted fresh and delicious. Some of my favorite items I have tried are the Shrimp Dumplings, Steamed Roast Pork Buns, and the sweet Pineapple Buns. The service is quick, and you order your selections from a QR code at the table. Things I didn't like: Nothing. I have always enjoyed my visits to Aberdeen. Overall, great dim sum in the White Plains area! ”

“ Been coming here for years for dim sum, but this time we came for dinner and it was good! If you're looking for solid, authentic Chinese food, this is a great spot. They stop serving dim sum at 7:30 so I was able to get my fave char siu bao as an app. One thing I don't love about coming here is the online ordering system, an unfortunate addition from Covid. You scan a code and are taken to the menu, you place your order online and wait for the food. If you have questions about the menu or need more tea or drinks you end up waiting awhile for a person to walk past- they have a lot fewer staff now that they don't have to use carts for dim sum anymore. Also beware if you're ordering dim sum, don't order everything at one time online. Order a few, wait a little bit then order the next couple and so on, otherwise everything comes all at once or close to it and then the food gets cold. ”
